I just read The Astonishing Power of Emotions by Esther & Jerry Hicks and it is the most amazing book ever.  In the book Abraham talks about going upstream or downstream and uses an analogy of being in a boat.  I particularly like the analogy of white water rafting and trying to do that against the flow.  You have to read the book. 

For me, it is the best of all of their books and I think for someone just beginning to learn from abraham, this is the best one to read first.  The book also includes an audio CD and I have listened to it about a half a dozen time, it is amazing.

In the past I would have to say it was fear.  I believe that fear hit me most deeply as I can see the evidence of how it affected my life.  But I didn't know that I could change that as I now know.  Since I have learned how to let that go and embrace myself as a beautiful person my life has changed incredibly.  I now live with lots of joy and peace.  Yes, I do swing back to my old fears but at least I can now see it and have the tools to bring myself back into balance and joy.  The first tool I bring out is gratitude.  As soon as I begin feeling grateful my fears go away. 

Creating.  I have always loved to make things, decorate my home, start something new . . .   I learned through Abraham (Esther and Jerry Hicks)  that this is what we are here for, to create.  We are a creation of Source Energy and we are here to continue the creation process.  I just love Abraham and have listened to everything that I can get hold ot from Abraham, and then over and over again.  It has changed my life and I now can feel great about my desires to create something new and make something beautiful out of something not so beautiful.  If you want to know more about Abraham you can check out their website at        http://www.abraham-hicks.com/   .   I have purchased and watched some of their videos as well and that was even more awesome, makes me tingle everytime I watch it.
